2023 Lode Fest
Jack English

At this moment I am working on articles for the next Lode Star regarding the 2022 Lode Fest in Wausau, WI. This was a great event and well attended. It is not too early to begin preparation and planning for the next one. So far, we haven't heard aabout any plans. Has anything happened. At the last B o D meeting, a Florida event was discussed. Is there anything new?

I popped in here to ask the same question.

If what the board is planning isn't relayed to the members, whom they serve, what's the point?

Latest I have heard is that there is a planning committee looking at Indianapolis, IN, for early fall. Perhaps VP Michael Morris can add details.

As treasurer, I have received the first registration for Lode Fest 2023 in Cincinati, OH. Sadly, there is no information or registration form available on this website. The event is only two months away.

MY MISTAKE! Look elsewhere on the website for requisite materials and registration forms. I didn't read far enough.

Brochures are in the mail. I received mine today. Program looks great!

Reply to Michael's post: Excellent meet, good weather and great hotel. Michael outdid himself, of course, but great assistance from Frances and Todd.

BUT: More to come. The Board of Directors set a tentative schedule for the next several years so that you can plan:

2024: Acadia National Park. ME, in late August; Chris Lipscomb and Keith Morgan, committee chairmen.

2025: Natchez to Memphis, TN, May when the Azaleas bloom: Kip Finch, chairman

2026: Mercedes Benz Classic Center, Southern California. Dates and Details to be coordinated with Classic Center.
