Interesting[8D]. A totally disproportionately large number exported to Australia per head of population. Population of Australia at that time was about 15000000, same as New York, London or Los Angeles. Art

When the first one of those TVs showed up on ebay ages and ages ago, it sold for like 30$. I considered buying one to convert into an ignition oscilloscope. Nothing like checking the ignition behavior from behind the wheel at speed.

With most countries now broadcasting exclusively in digital, a TV like this will be little more than an expensive piece of non-functional sculpture in your car.

Older control in black: That was in all the cars up to /until Vin 642. except for RHD-Landaulet 601 (Sultan of Brunei) and the Vins: 615, 621, 637, 638, 639 and 640. Vin 642 and all the later cars had the control in regular wood.

So here are some pictures: This smaller gearboxtunnels switched to the bigger gearboxtunnels between Vin 790 and Vin 794 (where could be an exeption for some LWB, while longer buildtime)The hydraulic closingunithook: and again from an other angle:

Art, that makes FIVE from 10 produced RHD: 100-015-22-000601 Sultan v Brunei (Presidential) 100-015-22-001743 Sultan v Brunei (short softtop) 100-015-22-001942 Australie (Presidential) 100-015-22-002020 Premier South Africa (short softtop) and this last blue one from Johor, I am still searching for that VIN. (As I am informed correct it should be a later one from may be 1977)
Oooops, I just now read you spoke about three PRESIDENTIAL Landaulets. So that is three from five produced RHD presidentials.
Greetings to the south and many thanks for the many detailpictures of the australian landaulet.
