Techno Classica and Veterama
mtrei
Who here will be attending Techno Classica in Essen March 27-30, and/or Verterama in Ludvigshaven April 5-6?

I will be at both along with woodguy Drew Tibcken, Matthew Patterson, and Tom Lewis (MBCA Triangle section president).
hkollan
Mike,

I'll be in Essen from Wednesday to Saturday.
If you're staying at Etap, I'll see you guys there.

Hans,

Glad to hear you will be at Essen. I am staying at the ETAP as well. I will arrive on Wednesday and return home on Monday. Look forward to seeing you!

We're going to be there Friday, Saturday, and possibly Sunday. We have decided to take the acommodations up one small notch, and are staying at the Ibis in Gelsenkirchen rather than the Etap.

I'm sure we'll find each other at the M100.de stand at some point.

Hi Stu,

That sounds good, look forward to seeing you there.
We'll catch up with "the snobs" ;-) at the fair.

I will be there on Friday.
From my hometown it is only 185 km (116 miles) so if the weather is good I will come with the 6.3.
I will stop by and say hello at the M-100 stand.
Cheers.

It was actually less than the Etap if you booked far enough ahead.

I'll be there (along with about another 149 Brits) from Thursday through Saturday. We are all staying at the Mecure, Rattingen so I should avoid that hotel if I were you!

Ian,

With 149 of your club members heading to Essen with you, I suppose there won't be any goodies left for the rest of us at the vendor tables! Fortunately for you Brits, your currency still has value in Germany unlike ours.

See you in Essen...

We're not getting there until Friday, so I guess the only things remaining will be left hand drive dashboards and headlights.

Actually Stu, the GBP is very weak against the Euro at the moment, so no bargains at Essen for us either I fear. Looking forward to seeing you and any other M-100 members again soon.

Which one would be the more interesting one for us 6.3 guys? I’ve never been to both of them.

Bernd,

TechnoClassica is the largest collector car show in the world. If you have not been there, I recommend it over going to Veterama unless you are only interested in trying to find some used parts, as that is what Veterama is mostly designed to provide. TC will have parts vendors (although rather expensive) as well as an amazing presentation of cars to view and buy.

Thanks Stu!

Bernd,

If you do attend TechnoClassica, please try to catch up with us. Our usual hangout is the M-100 Deustchland exhibit in hall 9.1 (upstairs) or around the Daimler display. Hope to meet you in Essen!

Stu,

I'm in Austria right now and won’t make it back to Amsterdam where I work and liveif I’m not in Austria till Sunday. But I will try to drive to Ludwigshafen, because I’m in needs for interior parts for two 6.3s.

I would be pleased to meet you there if possible!

Bernd,

Which interior part do you need?
I have a complete dashoard cover in dark brown in the original MB cardboard box.
If you are interested just let me know.
Cheers.

Bernd,

Sorry you were not able to make it to Essen. It was great fun and a good number of M-100 guys were there from around the globe. I will not be a Veterama, but I know Drew Tibcken and Mike Trei are planning to attend. Have a good time!

Stu
Bernd
Werner,
I just bought a used one in good shape, but I might be interested in yours any way. Would you email me please your ideas?

Bernd,

How about coming to the US for the M-100 Meet in New York state in June? I promise you a relatively worthless US Dollar!

Best regards,
Stu

Bernd,

What's your e-mail address?

Bernd
Stu,

I flew up and down to the states in the last 4 years at lot of times. I had a girl friend in Florida. This is where I bought one of my 6.3s the other I picked up in SC. Yes, the euro2dollar rate is fine right now, no doubt.
For my own safety I will avoid Florida, but there is a chance that I would have to fly for a friend to NY who wants to buy a new Audi Q7 and ship it to Austria. It is about $50k in NY and about 80K in Euros in Austria (sure, there are some taxes to be paid)
What time is it in June?
