I cannot imagine doing the job these pros did in less than two weeks of solid work, lots of frustration, worn out muscles, etc. You are right about the badges. They are easily removed and it is quicker than working around them.

Stu, anyone; how many hours of steady efforts do you think such a job would take?? I know how I have spent whole weekends doing what now I think of as Micky Mouse jobs. I thinking maybe two weeks.
If I'm not mistaken, did they not remove the 300 SL on the left side of the boot lid?? That is so simple.
Just a thought for others. I remove them, thread that aluminum looking stud (VERY CAREFULY) and install the 300 SEL and 6.3 emblems with tiny stainless steel fasteners. Want to wax it? Take it off. It's Quick.

Ian, just found the post. Fantastic. Cost??? It would cost a ton. Is it worth a ton. Depends on the paint and can you keep it or are you forced o do a repaint. This is a great alternative to a repaint.

I'm not sure, but quite a lot, I think. I enjoy cleaning my cars myself, and would not go down this route, but I guess if you wanted a "step change" and did not mind the cost, it is a way of rapidly improving a car.
