I could add a new VIN in the overview :
000705, which turns out to be one of the factory owned Landaulets.

quote: I am pretty certain that the Queen never owned a Landaulet
That statement is imho correct. quote: I know for a fact she rode in the first 600 Landaulet during her state visit to Germany in 1965.
If that was the first Landaulet I doubt, because the first Landaulet had no chrome ring over the airintake at the rearwheels but a chrome airinlet between the softtop and bootlid …. quote: That car was for sale with Mechatronik but is now sold.
That car you mention was in factory ownership till 1972 and then sold to Paris and from there to Africa. That car was indeed the first build in 1965, but is NOT the same car. That car QE was driven was kept in factory ownership and driven with the same Licenseplate after 1972 … As far as I know it is still in factory ownership. That is the car with pics equiped with sidesteps for safetygards .. quote: I just need to know if there are any other Landaulets which the Queen may have rode in during a state visit to any country she’s been to, as long as she rode in a 600 Landaulet.
QE was driven in West Germany in a Landaulet with short softtop. QE was driven in Berlin in a Landaulet with long softtop. Note te missing chromeparts on the {fake} airinlet on the first build Landaulet (had foldingseats like a 6door version) .. See Licenseplate (same as QE was driven in West Germany)

I am pretty certain that the Queen never owned a Landaulet because all of her cars were and still are British, built in Britain at least. She always used to use a Rolls Royce Phantom V State Landaulet and potentially a Phantom VI Landaulet but almost always a Rolls Royce or now currently a Bentley. I know for a fact she rode in the first 600 Landaulet during her state visit to Germany in 1965. That car was for sale with Mechatronik but is now sold. The car with the raised roof mentioned is almost certainly the Pope’s 600, I just need to know if there are any other Landaulets which the Queen may have rode in during a state visit to any country she’s been to, as long as she rode in a 600 Landaulet.

If QE II rode in the German state Landaulet with the raised roof line, it is in the Daimler Museum in Stuttgart. Art

Good morning everyone,
I am following this topic with much interest and am wondering if it is still claimed that QE II owned a 600 ? Or are people simply getting confused with video clips of her being on a state visit to Germany where she was seen with the german chancellor in a 600 ?
Greetings from Western Australia
Walter

Hello Members, If any of you know who currently owns the Mercedes 600 Landaulet Queen Elizabeth II rose in could you please let me know as soon as possible. If not, does anyone know of another 600 Landaulet with a connection to the British Royal Family. Respectfully

Dear Will, I can guarantee that there were definitely two Landaulets in Togo, one of which was fully restored which I have seen phots of and the other of which I’ve even sat in before it’s restoration which is currently underway. I hope this information is useful to you, both cars are short roof examples and were both owned by the president of Togo.

Dear olliw109, Thank you very much for your response in regards to the Michael Glass car. I didn't know much about the car's more recent history but I know a fair amount about its early history. Michael Glass was an heir to the Marks and Spencer (a large chain of premium supermarkets and clothes stores in the UK) fortune. He ordered the car at the Paris Motor Show when he was just 21 years old. At the motor show, he also ordered a brand new Ferrari Daytona Spider. He saw a 600 Landaulet on the Mercedes stand and decided to order one, going through the brochure and ordering nearly every option available except for a long roof or the six door handles. It had brown leather in the front and brown velour in the back and when completed, the car was featured in Mercedes brochures and official Mercedes photos. He eventually sold the car and in the 1980s it was for sale with a premium car dealership in Los Angeles, California. It is a truly magnificent car and I'm glad to hear its still aroumd, just a shame that its in a tired condition. I think I've seen some recent pictures of the car and it doesn't have whitewall tyres, something the car definitely needs. P.S. the photo featured shows the Michael Glass car in the background in Paris froma 70s magazine. I don't know the identity of the white car. Rivers Donovan-Grewal

Dear Rivers, last time I saw this golden car was on the M100-meet in Germany in Essen. Guess that was in 2014 or 2015 or so. It was privately owned with an interesting long history (stayed long in Paris as far as I remember). Car was not in too good, but driving condition. Owner was an older German collector then.. Best regards, Oliver

Does anyone know of the whereabouts and any details of the 600 Landaulet that belonged to Michael Glass (the champagne car with chocolate roof and hubcaps) because it is my favourite 600 of all time and I would love to find out more about it.
