because these motors are FOURstroke engines you have to search first the right TDC by doing the distrybution rotor pointing to cilinder 1 . After that you turn the motor further to the 60 degree marking.
Set the markings from the FIP as in the picture of the above mentioned link.
Then put all together [:)]

Einbauen Anm.: Vor dem Einbau einer Ersatz-Einspritzpumpe ist die Regelstange auf Leichtgängigkeit zu prüfen (siehe Abschnitt A). 8 Kolben des 1 . Zylinders auf 60° nach ZündOT stellen. Zündverteilerkappe abnehmen und Motor an der Kurbelwelle so weit durchdrehen, bis der Verteilerläufer auf die Markierung am Verteilergehäuse für Zylinder 1 zeigt und am Schwingungsdämpfer die OT-Markierung anzeigt. Motor bis zur 60°-Markierung weiterdrehen. Nockenwelle der Einspritzpumpe drehen, bis sich die Markierungsstriche auf der Nockenwelle und dem Flansch gegenüberstehen (Bild 07-12/7)
After you have installed the TDC and the distributor pointed to the first cylinder, rotate the pulley to the 60 degree mark. Everything, you can install the pump with the mark.

Hi, I'm trying to replace the MFIP on my 600. Can someone explain to me what I do after setting engine to 60 after TDC? Manual says to remove the distributor cap and to turn the crankshaft to the point at which the distributor rotor points to No 1 cylinder marking on the distributor housing. If I start at 60 degree and then turn the crankshaft some more won't I be "way" past 60 degree after top dead center? Thanks, Chris
