Thanks for all you do on our behalf. The same goes for all that monitor this board on a regular basis. You have all helped me tremendously in getting my car back to a state that I can be proud of.

Your car is in our registery.
Some folks here around are working to update those registeries, but it takes time to do so. They are preparing the website for an update and are trying to make some changes to this matter.

I am working now to make my excel files so, that they possible can be integrated, BUT that is a hell of a job, because when I started I had to create some overview. The later started 6.3- and 6.9 overviews were more consistent, so they need much less attention.

In the past only the webmaster had the ability to make changes in those registeries. Since he left and since that website switched to a new server, I had no access anymore to add pictures.

So we need to have patience till those folks are ready to integrate my data and possible some pictures.
Thanks again Paul for sharing your knowledge.
Off topic, I have attempted to have my car, #4618, added to the registry but it does not appear there. I understand there may be an issue with the software. You are in possession of photos of the car as you sent them to me prior to my actually taking delivery. If you need any other information please let me know. I doubt it matters but I am a dues paying member of the club.

the width of the rims for the 6.3 were wider then the rest and only for W109 model 6.3 available.
It might be , that you could order that same size/width for more of the later model W116 …

imho all cars came from the factory in car colour for that area.

I have two originality questions.
Were the steel rims fitted to 6.3s model specific? Were they shared with any other Mercedes offering?
Did any of the cars leave the factory having the area below the door sills blacked out? I have heard that this could be requested but am doubtful.
Paul?
