Does anyone know if the gas door pull was a dealer accessory or is it something that came from aftermarket?

I'm talking about this thing.

I dont know the answer, but I found one a few years ago. I remember them being on a good number of w108 cars where ever they came from.

Several years ago Dan Smith mentioned these in a post saying that he put them on his cars. They are supposed to be from an earlier model. My search of posts didn’t find it. My current project car has one. No part number on it.

Never seen on w108/w109

But my 66 230S w111 have it on the center.

111 758 00 02 replaced by 111 758 01 02. It was standard on Finnies.
